Acne

There are several different types of Acne and all of these require different types of treatment, both in salon and home care.

Class 2 – Active blemishes throughout the skin, may appear sallow with an overall heavier texture, scarring may be likely.

Class 3 – Active blemishes, blackheads, many pustules, nodules, cysts and even abcesses.  Cheeks are most oftern affected as well as neck, chest and back.  Scarring exists and is generally severe.

Class 4 – Hormonal Acne – This is females onbly and found around the lower face I,e chin jaw and neck and is usually not oily, usually stimulated by high androgen levels some lesions may be pustuled and nodular and very tendere.

Cystic Acne – many pustules, nodules and cysts and avscesses this is severe but not common affects the cheeks neck chest and back, scarring exists and generally severe.

Post Acne – There is no longer any active acne, instead the skin is left scarred, pitted, thickened and dull.

Acne Rosacea

This is a problem that affects both males and females and can be contracted at any time, however, once infected this problem can only be controlled and not cured.  Helping to keep the skin as strong and robust as possible is the most important long term concern.  A course of 2 – 3 light therapy treatments will  help to remove any broken capillaries and erythema in the area and using the correct home products will maintain the problem from looking unsightly.

Salon Action:
Comprehensive consultation decifing with the client the most comfortable and safe treatment in diminishing the acne bacteria and also clearing the damage done by the acne i.e. scarring etc. A course of peels comencing with antiinflamatory treatment stepping up to T.C.A. if necessary, and homeuse products are essential with laser treatment completing the course if needed on rare occassions.

Pigmentation

Several different reasons are the cause of pigmentation, some skin types i.e. Asian skins are more prone to pigmentation, and also women going through hormonal changes i.e. pregnancy or the pill can cause this, also sun damage can all be contributing factors in this skin problem

Course of Action:
A course of high strength chemical peels and microderabrasion will dramatically lessen the depth of the pigmentation, and using some or all of the following products will help maintain and control the problem.

Teenage Problem Skin

Problem skin during the teenage years can be attributed to two things, hormonal changes caused by puberty, or genetic problems usually running down the paternal side of the family.

Salon course of action:
Regular visits to the salon for a treatment incorporating both microdermabrasion to breakdown the problem of scar tissue caused by problematic skin, and a treatment utilizing the Futur-Tec Skin Regenerating System using antibacterial ultrasound to help remove blackheads and spots and to help alleviate bacteria within the active problem area.  Leaving skin looking smoother and feeling fresher.

Anti Ageing

This process can start as early as possible, preferably in our twenties, hoever this becomes crucial in our thirties, especially heading towards the big “40”.  The signs of ageing are fine lines and wrinkles, broken capillaries and thinning skin.  Usually seen around the eyes and neck.

Collagen and elastin diminish and does not replace itself without and increase in cellular renewal.  This can be done both in salon and more crucially on a daily basis at home using high strength cosmaceuticals containing super strength Vit C and Vit A (L-Retinol).

One to three treatments on full face / neck / decalotte with the Titan Infra Red Skin Tightening system over three to six months will dramatically turn back the years, changing the skin texture, strength and colour.  Also in salon high strength proliferative peels and microdermabrasion will continue the enhancement of skin strength.
